The feedback on 4.0.4 has been largely positive. And thanks to the testers we were able to have a really “polished” release. Nevertheless, some bugs have been found that affect a small number of sites. Here’s a quick overview and instructions on how to fix them:

  1. Blacklist-checking for comments can lead to false positives on some servers.
  2. Incorrect links are sometimes shown when using repeated file_download tags
  3. Warning Message in Live-Mode when Raw PHP tags are used. While there is an FAQ-item that explains why you really, really should stop using those, the warning message in live mode was not intended, and this bug has been fixed in the svn. This is a very good time to get yourself familiar with the proper way to use PHP code in templates (if you have to), or better yet how to write plugins.

We’re also currently cleaning up some other minor things and considering the possibility of packaging these as a 4.0.5 release.
